How Did an 8 Year Old Girl End Up on Old Men's Drugs?
Behind the personal tragedy of an 8 year old girl who was injected with puberty blockers lies a tortured tale of medical negligence and breathtakingly fake pseudo-science.
When a friend sent me a tweet by Libs of Tik Tok tonight I was appalled.
Whenever you think you’ve reached the bottom of the barrel in the biggest medical scandal of the 21st Century (so far…) you find you’ve still a way to go. Through the bottom of the barrel to the mole tunnels and worm holes beneath.
The tweet included a clip from a documentary that followed an eight year old girl being injected with puberty blockers. What could go wrong?
The clip featured the usual ingredients.
Idiot parents who had clearly watched too much Rachel Maddow or other US liberal blowhards on some sort of mind-loop. And doctors cheerfully and ever so sincerely injecting into the arteries of an eight year old girl a drug invented to treat prostate cancer in old geezers like me. Then there was the weepable eight year old girl convinced by the adults around her she was what she was not: a boy.
I’m often asked by friends and members of the public ….how on earth things like this could have happened. What were the mysterious forces that conspired to produce this unforgiveable scandal? There are lots of theories available.
Bill Gates. Various billionaires. This foundation or that. Jennifer Bilek has traced the financial links between big funders, big pharma and events on the ground. I’m always suspicious though of such neat solutions. I favour cock-up and the incomprehensible extremes of human idiocy over well-planned conspiracies.
I don’t deny there has been strategic planning and oodles of cash to give transgender ideology a fair wind. But when it comes to the scandal of this eight year old girl we don’t need any of those extra layers. In fact it was fake science and medical arrogance that turned that poor girl’s hospital in Boston into one of the Ground Zeros of this medical disaster. The girl was treated at the Gender Management Service (GeMS) Clinic at Boston Children's Hospital. And there lies a story.
