How a Trans Butcher Was Enabled
Our political class spent years telling the public, including children in schools, that they should believe any man who said he's a woman. A trans butcher has shown how criminally negligent this was.
The kidnap and sexual assault of an 11 year old girl is the fourth example of a predatory crime by transwomen since the Scottish Parliament assured us there was no danger from Gender Self-ID. That’s just five months ago.
This time it’s “Amy”, a trans butcher who abducted a child, took her home, assaulted her and showed her porn. He did all this while dressed as a woman. “Amy” was a big supporter of Nicola Sturgeon’s Gender Self-ID Bill, which helps put her gong for Best Celebrity Ally at the Rainbow Awards in context. Sturgeon cares passionately about the interests of London-based LGBTQ+ activists. Less so 11 year old girls in the Scottish Borders.
Amy …Andrew …Miller…is of course responsible for his crime. No one else. However it’s also true that our political class helped enable it.
The enabling began long before Miller started speaking out on Gender Self-ID. Long before he decided to dress as a woman, drive up to an 11 year old girl and invite her into his car, and take her home.
The enabling started in 2004.
When the original Gender Recognition Act was passed, much was made to the public of its protections. Anyone who wanted to change their legal sex had to wait for 2 years and be assessed by a medical panel including a psychiatrist. Why do you think that was?
Until then it was accepted even by HBIGDA, the predecessor to WPATH, the global trans healthcare lobbyists, that some who wanted to change their sex suffered from mental health issues including delusions. Here's the Standards of Care saying just that. The 2 year wait for surgery was adopted by the people framing the GRA and it was put in law now as a two year wait to change legal sex. The panel too was a nod to the Standards of Care. Both elements -the delay and the panel- were intended to protect trans people but also to reassure the public.
We know this because the Parliamentary debate at the time emphasised gender dysphoria was so crippling amost all trans people would want to change their legal sex and therefore go through this slow, careful process which was monitored.
This meant the public thought if they encountered a transwoman there was a good chance they had gone or were going through psychiatric evaluation.
Psychiatrists would reject any bad actors we assumed. We were also assured by politicians trans people were a tiny group and, although it wasn't a requirement, almost all of the males would have surgery to remove their male genitals. They loathed their male bodies after all.
