The Moral Vacuum of the Rainbow Awards

The annual awards ceremony brought all the worst aspects of the cry-bully LGBTQ+ lobby together in one place. It was appropriate it was held at the home of the UK's leading collection of fossils.

The Rainbow Awards show the LGBTQ+ lobby has lost its moral compass. How else to explain that a brains trust with Sam Smith, Gok Wan, Sinitta and Vanessa Feltz gathered last night to bleat about oppression in a venue, the Natural History Museum that costs £72000 to hire. A night.

The charity, Stonewall, won an award despite the fact it backs those who deceive people into having sex with them, compares lesbians who don't want to sleep with men to anti-semites, and claims two year olds know whether they've been born in the wrong body. Classy stuff.

Let's hope the event's curious main sponsor, Bank of London, didn't pick up the full tab. This strange new "clearing bank" claimed to have a valuation of £1.1Bn when it was launched in 2020. In June last year its accounts showed a loss of ...£48000.

Last year the Times reported the Bank had just £100 in cash. In 2021 it had strict limits
placed on it by regulators. The Times reported it was to hold no more than £50K in customer deposits and provide payment services of no more than £1000. Perhaps it is self-identifying as a bank?

The bank was set up by Anthony Watson who is either a breathe of fresh air in banking circles or with his very public displays of a jet setting lifestyle…not exactly an icon for the sober, careful approach to money the City usually likes to exude.
