The debate over sex-based rights may allow Conservatives like Kemi Badenoch to refresh their traditional concern for the family by championing feminism and gay rights. It might be a winning formula.
She met with Keira Bell against the advice of civil servants. She is definitely sound on this issue, whatever faults she has elsewhere. I’m hoping Wes Streeting is equally able to hold his ground despite the rest of Labour.
His photograph with the Darlington nurses was wonderful and made me proud it was a gay male politician standing up for their rights. At last a gay politician I'm not utterly embarrassed by. He seems a good egg.
Never voted Tory in my life, I'm 54. Can't believe I'm typing this, but I could vote for this one. That is, I think, a measure of the insanity of the gender cult. Forcing naturally left leaning people to the right.
Everyone is a bit conservative and a bit ....progressive. And the smart parties learn how to find a way to appeal to people who wouldn't naturally vote for them.
I find myself in a very similar position to yours. There is no way I could ever vote for Starmer, and I would like both to vote against him, and for someone who stands up for a principle that I support.
Yep, and for someone who will answer a question with a straight answer. And question all the BS our institutions are churning out. It'll be huge fun to hear museums trying to defend themselves from her scathing criticism of "decolonisation".
Ex-life-long Labour/Lib dem voter, sixteen years as an advanced teaching union rep, fully paid up leftie here. I feel utterly betrayed and disillusioned with Labour and Lib Dem. They betrayed me, my family, and my values. I have no doubt many of my family and friends would be shocked to know how I voted in the past few elections. I've even placed my very first bet on Kemi for leadership. I certainly hope so. As, you I am now a fully paid up fan, albeit girl rather than boy.
There may be only 748,000 lesbians and gay men in England and Wales but there are a lot of women and a lot of parents. That's a lot of potential voters whose interests are intertwined on this issue.
Kemi is also an impressive operator who seems to do her own homework rather than rely on summaries prepared by SPADs.
Hmm, she has not an unsullied record on the D.I.E. front, according to 'Parliament Square' in The Critic a few days ago. And I believe she's paid a few visits to Melton Mowbray on the subject of her background. But, yes, a not unattractive character; and fibbing is an occupational hazard with politicians. She has a science and engineering background as well, I think. Which I'd certainly prefer to the PPE and Law mill that churns out so many people in Halitosis Hall.
I don't think anyone until recently has had an unsullied record on the DEI front. We've all been learning the sheer scale of the global conspiracy to gaslight the public.
Perhaps, but a lot of this nonsense happened on the Tory’s watch, which they are responsible for . Politicians are charlatans. I doubt Kemi is any different , she sees an opporrunity and seizes it .
That's why I told the story of her email to me out of the blue. She had no reason to thank me. She got nothing out of it from little old me. It would have probably been easier for her to sign of the daft research and go with her civil servants. Let's assume all politicians like most people are driven by self-interest most of the time. But.....sometimes some of them like some of us decide we will not stand idly by.
I truly hope she wins. She will make Dodds, Starmer, Lammy and Nandy look like the idiots they are and it might bring an end to this evil nonsense sooner.
Nandy is the one I'm most disappointed in. She seemed so smart and capable but is now completely captured and rather vicious with it. Nobody will ever confuse Lammy with smart. As for Dodds....if she had an opinion of her own she wouldn't know what to do with it.
The Conservative party should be put out of it´s misery. Quietly euthanised. Everyone hates them. Kemu ought to take over Reform from the truly odious Farage.
I think there's something about a party that's old and has learned to shift and pivot -whether its the Tories or Labour- that means it's better to work from within. I might be wrong. But I saw first hand how Labour slowly reformed itself under Kinnock, Smith and Blair to make itself relevant to the public. The problem is that unlike the 1990s Labour conducted absolutely no interrogation of its policy or outlook. Reform is at the moment only angling for the main chance. Badenoch....if she is as smart as I think she is....take her time to drill down into policy the way the Tories did in the 1970s. Their answers weren't all correct (money supply was a delusion) but it gave their project heft. Equally Blair's (tho not so much).

There is the Party of Women of course - not to be confused with the finally defunct and totally woo woo Women's Equality Party

What an unlikely fan club we make, eh? :)
I think Keir Starmer is more than "in hock to lobbyists." Follow his strings up, up, up, to his globalist puppet masters.

Her SPADs appear to be entirely on board the GC Express. It's the civil servants that are the problem.

Thanks, Malcolm.
I agree that Kemi will be the best for us Terfs. And good selfie 😊

Cheers, and thank you x
Great article Malcolm, and funny too. I'll probably use some of your one-liners myself, if that's OK. Thankyou.
Feel free. I probably stole them, cos I can't believe I came up with that B&Q line. I'm still pathetically laughing at it :)
Yes, that was my favourite!

Kemi is without a doubt the most impressive British politician I can name, being an American.
If she wins it will be very much a case of "fasten your seatbelts". And I'm up for that ride :)
Nice photo
Thank you. Taken by the Queen herself.
